i get this message: 'MacOS Sierra failed to download. Use the purchase page to try again.'

Just purchased this computer last week. Got everything set up and I’ve yet to be able to download or purchase anything from the App Store. Some downloads look like they have downloaded, but no icon or anything ever shows up. The ISP hijack-ed/cached the download, but with a bad redirect. Change a DNS or use a VPN may solve this. 220.194.203.33 is an IP operated by China Unicom(中国联通), WTF. I changed my DNS to 114.114.114.114 and download works. I'm running a MacBook Pro 13' mid 2012, 8GB Ram with the i7 CPU, using OSX 10.11.6. I'm trying to update Pages to the newest version in order to use the collaboration feature, but it won't download. When i open Pages on my Mac it tells me that there's a new version of Pages in the App Store and it sends me to the Updates section.

the app store says 'an error has occurred'

-deleted the partial file from my hand drive and restarted - starts and fails to download

-deleted partial file again

-restarted using command R to redownload operating system - shows the old version of my operating system, starts and fails to download

Try

-deleted partial file again

-repaired disk upon restart using command R - starts and fails to download

-deleted partial file AGAIN

-restarted using command R to redownload operating system (again)- starts and fails to download
